But, at the same time, we all know about the vices of the chemicals present in our not-very-natural lotions and balms, actually harming us in the longer run.

Although, some lip balm makers like Burt’s Bee claim their product to be ‘earth-friendly’, but how about making something right at the comfort at our homes, that is not just soothing, but also contributes to our NATURAL-HEALTH, especially, when it comes to sensitive body parts like lips that contribute to a bigger a percentage of our persona?!!

Ingredients

  • Petroleum jelly – 1 Tbsp
  • Peppermint extract – 3 drops
  • Honey – 1 Tbsp

How to make

This recipe is quick and easy. Take the petroleum jelly in a bowl and heat this in the microwave oven for about 30 seconds. When done, mix in the peppermint extract, mixing it well again. Next, add the one-teaspoon honey, while mixing the mixture vigorously. Now it’s almost done, as you put the mixture into a container covering this with a lid. Allow it to set overnight, but do leave the lid off. The next morning, test a little applying this with your finger. If you feel it has set well, then it is done. Cover it again with the lid on.

Great ideas for recipes! I can’t wait to try them but wonder if there were any vegan lip balm recipes? because the one here uses honey so that negates the vegan status.
