DIY: Homemade Bubble Bath Recipes

Relax anytime you are sick and tired of your daily routine in your warm bathtub, soaking all your body in the soothing effect of your own homemade bubble bath. Throw away the strong, chemically-treated bubble baths available in the stores and encourage others to make their own. Here are the best DIY homemade bubble bath recipes. Try them one at a time and feel the difference.
Bubble Bath concentrate with Castile Soap
Ingredients
- Liquid castile soap (unscented) – ½ cup
- Essential oil (of your choice, but best, if you choose a refreshing scent like sandalwood, lemon, mint etc.) – 20-25 drops
- Sea salt – ½ tsp
- Water – ¾ cup
How to make
Take a bowl and pour the castile soap. Now, add water to it cautiously, so that you don’t let it bubble up. Mix it with a spoon, but take care for the same reason. To this, add the sea salt and continue stirring until the consistency becomes a little thick like gel. Next, add the essential oil/s. Now your bubble bath concentrate is ready to use. Store in a bottle. Whenever you feel like taking a bubble bath, just fill your tub with hot water and pour some of this concentrate and freshen yourself up.
Natural Bubble Bath with coconut oil
Ingredients
- Coconut Oil – 2 oz
- Water – 4 cups
- Castille Soap – 4 oz
- Lavender Essential Oil – 10 drops
How to make
Mix coconut oil, castile soap and water together. To this, add the essential oil and mix well. Store in a bottle and use it when you are ready for a bath. 2-3 ounces of the bubble bath is enough for one session.
Homemade Colored Bubble Bath (non-toxic)
This recipe is also simple. Simply add some food color to the above recipe. You can also add some vegetable glycerin to this, and replace the essential oil type of your preference. Mix thoroughly. All the ingredients are evidently natural and do not have any toxic side-effects.
Eco-friendly Bubble Bath Recipe for Kids
Ingredients
- Any organic soap or shampoo – 1 cup
- Water – ¾ cup
- Glycerin – ½ to 1 tsp.
How to make
Mix all the ingredients together and store it in a bottle. This is a very mild recipe and is authentic for kids and toddlers. They are sure to have fun in the bubbles. This recipe is so simple that, even your children can make it!
Easy DIY Bubble Bath
Ingredients
- Shampoo – ½ cup
- Common salt – ¼ tsp.
- Water – ¾ cup
How to make
Take a bowl and add together the water and the shampoo and mix. Later, add the salt and keep combining until the mixture thickens a little. Pour this bubble bath gel in a bottle using a funnel.
Long-lasting Bubble Bath Recipe (with egg)
Ingredients
- Light almond oil – ½ cup
- Honey – ¼ cup
- Mild liquid hand or body soap – ½ cup
- Egg albumen (white of an egg) – 1
- Vanilla extract – 1 tbsp
How to make
The specialty of this recipe is the egg part. The egg would not let the bubbles in your bath tub be brittle and break off easily. It will help the bubbles stay for long. To make the concentrate, mix all the ingredients in a glass bowl and stir carefully so that no bubbles form. Now transfer this to a stylish glass bottle and store in the refrigerator. This one is also ideal as a gift to your loved ones.
Soothing bedtime Bubble Bath (for good sleep)
This is a simple recipe that would lull you to sleep. The ingredients are almost the same like above, except you add ¼ cup of vegetable glycerin and 1 tsp of chamomile or lavender essential oil to this and omit the egg part. The scent of lavender is known to have the power to help in sleeping. In addition, you can also add some red food color optionally.
